Turns out
Wet is a little more performance-hungry than I expected. Who could’ve known not everyone runs VaM on a 5090?
So today’s update is all about performance.
Huge thanks to
@TBD who absolutely demolished the scene in testing and basically chased me around the living room with a broom until I admitted we had a problem.
The actual fix came from
@Shadow Venom , creator of the plugins used in the scene, who went back through them and put their performance under the microscope, with a fantastic result!
Thanks to his work, I can now give you an updated version of
Wet with a noticeable performance boost,
without sacrificing the visuals.
Seriously, huge thanks to both
@TBD and
@Shadow Venom. You guys are awesome :*
Updating
To keep things nice and clean:
- Delete the old Wet.var from your AddonPackages folder.
- Download Wet.2.var from the same release folder like before and drop it into AddonPackages
- VaM should prompt you to download the updated plugin versions.
And… that’s basically it. You’re ready to get wet again.
Optional Cleanup
This part isn’t required, but if you like keeping your VaM library tidy, you can also remove the older
Steam Forge, Lumen Forge, and Glass Forge plugin packages.
They’re no longer needed for this version.
That’s it, enjoy the extra frames!
