The reason you had an easier time running AAA games is because they are getting payed 80k+ a year to develope their games and I'm doing this as a hobby for free. I've been working on optimizations for months. These things are iterations and take multiple hundreds of hours to iterate on each time. The minimum requirement for the scene is 16gb of RAM. If your machine doesn't have more and other software uses it up you're gonna have issues. The performance is largely not on my side. VAM only uses 1 CPU core for physic calculations. It is poorly optimized and as soon as you animate 2 characters with 30+ physic controllers you're gonna end up with 30-45 fps. You can't get more except if you're running the CPU patch. Google for VAM CPU Patch if you're tech savy. I never managed to get it working myself so I can't help with that. The next update should improve a lot of these things and should release in the coming weeks.

I'm working on a fix for this. Unfortunately it means I have to scrap content from the scene to do so and it takes time. For now you can try installing another instance of VAM just for the scene, it might help with the problem, some people reported running into the heap section error more often when they have lots of of plugins installed and when trying to open different scenes without closing vam

Please let me know how much RAM your machine has if you find the time. I assume you tried loading it multiple times? It should use around 12-13 gb of ram once loading has finished. If you can make sure you have enough available by closing other programs and keeping VAM focused whole loading. The scene might have gotten too big in some aspects. This should be fixable in theory.
