Simple Menu System * Controller Physical State Switching Demo
There are a handful of use cases showcased for SimpleStateMachine within this scene... covering about 1.3% of what the plugin can actually do.
Two pairs of Look Triggers serve to determine the "Prev/Next" menu that is shown to you. See the SSMUtil subscene and its plugin instance, then see the Look Trigger values to get a sense of how this is working.
SimpleStateMachine (SSM) is used to determine the state of the menu, depending on your look vector, such that the button actions apply to the subject you are looking at.
The Person and the set of cones each are within their own SubScene. Any/all movements done with SSM are set in the parent Atom. You cannot, for example, move a Person by connecting an SSM instance directly onto them.
Explore the instances in effect. Try creating or adding to existing instances.
Credits go to the early and new supporters of the patreon, for their motivation and feedback - and to the inquirers here on the Hub.
Images show two states for each SubScene + two states of the Menu system (re-using and re-purposing the same UIButton and UIToggle Atoms).
Apologies in advance for my poor VaM-to-mp4 'skills'. I should probably find and use a community plugin for that - but have been too busy to look outside of my 'developer and every life' box.
