I wanted to find something easy to make from the refs I have to make a guide that's not too difficult to follow video wise.

I used mesh extracted with no smoothing for the clothing, and then after I make the lingerie (straps and metal) on top of the 0-smoothing mesh to high poly bake the lingerie onto the mesh 0 smoothing mesh in substance painter. I then trim it with an alpha blending mask & add all the extra textures to make it pop.)

I will make another guide/video showcasing the texturing workflow on how I did everything in substance painter. (2-part guide)

All of this is from the Mask extract method from my past guide

The mask extraction is such an excellent technique and a great idea! Didn't even know that was possible. When I first started working with clothing, I couldn't get any information how to make it from scratch, so had to figure it out myself. I started out with planes and extruding. XD
Will definitely be doing it this way with my next item. Thank you, for this knowledge! Now I just need to work on my Blender painting. Sadly, that is all I have to work with, for 3D painting.

the mask extract is a good technique to use for Vam due to how Vam imports/wraps clothing around the gf2 model.

and for painting tips; you can enable stroke stabilization and have a much better time with a mouse.

I wanted to see how an alpha/high-poly-bake would work with a lingerie set. I saw YameteOuji used a method similar to this, but with smoothing in mask extract at 0 to match the geometry of the gf2 to have a better import with straps and clothing edges. I've completed some parts in substance painter and imported them in-game, and it looks really good.
