This works rather well! I've had issues in the past getting local LLMs and TTS to work on similar plug-ins, but this is pretty straightforward. I really appreciate your work on this! Thank you so much!
I'm having issues getting the whisper model to work however, which means I'm stuck trying to type on my keyboard while wearing a VR headset, which is awkward for obvious reasons. Looking forward to future updates, and hopefully this bug will get worked out eventually. Cheers!
The next Link release, 4.4 (coming up tomorrow or maybe later today), adds a "Test microphone" button on the Local tab, right under HUD microphone.
Pick Local Whisper, press the button, and say a short sentence. Link shows what it heard, or the actual error (the Whisper model did not download, it timed out, Chrome or Edge is missing, or no words were recognized). JoiHUD (and VaM) can stay closed for that test.
Also, when using it along with JoiHUD, don't forget to enable the microphone there (click the gear icon in the HUD and its the last option, and then click the mic).
