This is an experimental plugin which takes a bunch of pictures of a person atom. It then shows the correct picture based on the viewing angle. This simulates the 3d atom without any gpu rendering.
This set of pictures can be exported. They can be later loaded onto any scene.
2 more plugins for recording video and playing video are also available.
Use cases:
1. Have a bunch of background npcs.
2. Make a scene with 5 girls which would usually crash the gpu. Freeze 4 of them. Animate one. Then freeze it. Unfreeze another girl and so on. So only one or two atoms are active at one time.
3. If you have a model in good lighting and pose save it forever.
4. Allow users to demo models and poses without giving the appearance preset for paid models.
Problems:
You cannot change lighting.
Feet never syncs with ground. Parallax issues and jerky movement.
If the model is in a prone or lying pose, half the picture will go underground. I tried hard to solve this but could not. Maybe you can add the bed or couch as supporting atom and take a picture of person along with the bed.
Interaction with other objects can be wonky.
Disk and ram use. Have added compression so should not be a big issue but something to consider.
Notes:
Quick freeze means compression will happen during exporting. So much faster freezing but slower exporting.
More cameras means it will take more pictures in one frame, so will happen quicker, but vam can become unresponsive during this time.
