  • Hi Guest!

VaM2 Resource Categories have now been added to the Hub! For information on posting VaM2 resources and details about VaM2 related changes to our Community Forums, please see our official announcement here.
Thank you to Xurrias who pointed out a couple minor things that could be easily corrected. While I was under the hood, I decided to do a few other modifications as well.

!! Please note this update has updated Brake, Rotor, Tire and Wheel coordinates !!

mk2 updates
:
» Fixed Alpha cutouts so it no longer looked like someone went crazy with a label maker inside the cockpit
└─ This also fixed the appearance rear wing bolts.
» Fixed grey Rollbar by making it a separate part and material.
» Fixed black Nitrous Bottles by remapping UV.
» Fixed black Seatbelts & Buckles by remapping UV.
» Split Wheel, Tires and Rotors to separate materials.
» Fixed direction of Normals facing on Brake Calipers so the brake calipers could be used.
» Created two assetbundles.
└─ BuildASupra - All the parts needed to build any flavor of this supra you might like; without needing mods.
└─ PrebuiltSupras - This is the preassembled car in various combinations of parts. PrebuiltSupras is not very animation friendly without mods or using BuildASupra CUAs.
» FullBuild - This is every part included into a single asset.
» Windowless - This is the FullBuild without windows.
» OpenBay - This is the FullBuild without a hood or windows. (Windows can be added with 2 CUAs for the BuildASupra assetbundle)
» Topless - This is the FullBuild without a targa top or windows. (This model has a hood and is the closest representation to the movie car.)
» Barebones - On a diet? You got nothin' left! No Doors, No Hood, No Targa Top, No Windows. It's essentially BuildASupra's "MainParts" on wheels.
» FlashyShowoff - You pretty much have just the doors left. No Hood, Targa Top, no Windows.

mk3 updates:
» Fixed wheel hub so brake hub wasn't poking through center and inner spokes.
» Fixed floating parts under hood by either attaching them to the hood.
» Adjusted Door & Hood hinges. This updated the Door & Hood Coordinates from mk2.
» Added illuminated LED screens.

mk4 updates:
» Fixed glass & windows so it doesn't cast/receive shadows.
» Adjusted placement of some details on the rear LED display to correct angular clipping.
» Fixed right door interior panel. (Previous normals/shading had a few bad triangles)
» Adjusted Brake, Rotor, Tire & Wheel pivot/rotation points for more realistic steering. This updated the coordinates for these parts from mk2/mk3.
» Assigned stationary hood light strips to Neons. Under hood light is still white light.
» Updated light materials to be self-illuminated/emissive.
» Corrected rotation of rear wheels so all four wheels have wheels matching the upright orientation.

I did update the SubScene so parts are placed correctly, but for individual or manually placed parts, you will need these coordinates for proper placement:
(All coordinates are in relation to the default 0,0,0 a CUA starts off at)

DoorLeft: -0.9511, 0.5384, 0.6578
DoorRight: 0.9511, 0.5384, 0.6578
Hood: 0, 0.9127, 0.7973
LeftFrontBrake: -0.8443, 0.352, 1.4665
LeftRearBrake: -0.8389, 0.3476, -1.3885
MainParts: 0, 0, 0
RightFrontBrake: 0.8443, 0.352, 1.4665
RightRearBrake: 0.8389, 0.3476, -1.3885
TargaTop: 0, 0, 0
WheelLeftFront: -0.8443, 0.352, 1.4665
WheelLeftRear: -0.8389, 0.3476, -1.3885
WheelRightFront: 0.8443, 0.352, 1.4665
WheelRightRear: 0.8389, 0.3476, -1.3885
WindowLeft: -0.9511, 0.5384, 0.6578
WindowRight: 0.9511, 0.5384, 0.6578
First I noticed the wheels had the brake hub poking through the face a little bit, but not enough to make an update.

Then I noticed while playing with the hood, that there were a lot of bits left floating in the engine bay that should be attached to the underside of the hood.

Then I figured if I make these adjustments, I might as well fix the position coordinates for the door and hood so they better swivel on the appropriate hinges.

!! Now with individual parts for enhanced customization !!

Supra01.jpg

» Fixed Alpha Cutout Masks
» Colored Rollbar
» Colored Nitrous Bottles
» Colored Seat Belts
» Separated wheels into Wheels, Tires and Brake Rotors. This allowed me to make separate materials and texture the brake rotors.
» Fixed direction normals were facing for Brake Calipers that had to previously be omitted.

Created two separate asset bundles and a subscene for the BuildASupra assetbundle.
PrebuiltSupras asset bundle includes the following models:

Prebuilt01-Barebones.jpg Prebuilt02-FlashyShowoff.jpg Prebuilt03-FullBuild.jpg Prebuilt04-OpenBay.jpg Prebuilt05-Topless.jpg Prebuilt06-Windowless.jpg
»
Barebones - On a diet? You got nothin' left! No Doors, No Hood, No Targa Top, No Windows. It's essentially BuildASupra's "MainParts" on wheels.
»
FlashyShowoff - You pretty much have just the doors left. No Hood, Targa Top, no Windows.
»
FullBuild - This is every part included into a single asset.
»
OpenBay - This is the FullBuild without a hood or windows. (Windows can be added with 2 CUAs for the BuildASupra assetbundle)
»
Topless - This is the FullBuild without a targa top or windows. (This model has a hood and is the closest representation to the movie car.)
»
Windowless - This is the FullBuild without windows.

Main post also updated so this doesn't distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.
