• Happy Holidays Guest!

    We want to announce that we will be working at reduced staffing for the holidays. Specifically Monday the 23rd until Jan 2nd.

    This will affect approval queue times and responses to support tickets. Please adjust your plans accordingly and enjoy yourselves this holiday season!

  • Hi Guest!

    Please be aware that we have released a critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.7 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.

    Details about the security patch can be found here.
CPU Performance Patch (Up to 30% faster physics, up to 60% more FPS)

Other CPU Performance Patch (Up to 30% faster physics, up to 60% more FPS)

Work great (though I still have intermittent big stutters in some scenes)

Can you update to 1.22.0.7 ?

Tested and work well for 1.22.03, does this also support 1.22.07?

IF YOURE READING THIS DO THE THING!!! #1 Singlehandedly solved my pc's severe crashing problem with vam #2 QUICK load times #3 MUCHH LESS having to restart vam after having run many different scenes #4 MUCH LESS Freezing inbetween plugin confirmations and scene-loads which is a godsend when youre in VR, #5 Actually really easy once you do it and understand what you did, (I used chatgpt to recommend me what to write in the DLL based off of my pc specs and luckily it was clearly correct and maybe it could even get BETTER who knows) I also keep a backup folder of all the edited stuff like the dll and the actual patch download folder thing incase I want to repair vam and then all i have to do is copy and paste the folders to vam and done, wont have to edit anything again after repairs.

Hey, 5950x gang here. Paired up with a RTX 4080.
Didn't use the official Benchmark but did a controlled benchmark with my own scenes for my own use case scenarios.

The scene that already had around 160~180 fps before the patch
jumped up to 284 average fps. Nearly a 70% increase.

What blew me away was the second scene that I didn't really expected much because usually something less than a 100 fps is mainly a GPU bottleneck instead of the CPU.
But the second scene with a lot more rigid body physics and clothing sim involved, jumped from 65~85 fps to 180 fps average.
140%???? It's insane how under utilized my 16 core CPU were all this time.

I rarely post reviews online. Thank you so much for this.

AMD Ryzen 7 Series

Noticable boost for smoother scenes, ty!

Went from 40 to 50 fps in a physics heavy scene, exactly that extra boost i needed.

If your character not able to load after patch with error
Exception during Restore of geometry: System.MissingFieldException: Field '.DAZMorph.appliedValue' not found.
It's cause by the plugins under \BepInEx\plugins\ , in my case, fridadexdump.dll is the problem.
I don't know what is it and i didn't have any issue so far after removing it

gain around 60-70fps after patch with i7-13700k+4080

Too Many Heap Sections Error during Scene load
Specs: RTX4090, i9 13900k
Vam Specs: 2TB of content, caching disabled

What I've tried so far:
limiting how many threads used to only 6 or 4, still the same error

What I've noticed:
Memory gets filled very fast, not slow and steady increase and then vam crashes

wow, 2TB is a lot, I recommend using https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/var-browser.27150/ to "really" load vars on a just-in-time basis

Add the Assembly-CSharp.dll, it obviously make VaM much faster than before. But, there is a bug:
!> Exception during Restore of geometry: System.MissingFieldException: Field '.DAZMorph.appliedValue' not found.

My FPS er like between: 25-35, i scene with 2 persons. and i do not all on hige in the game.

My CPU and GPU are working on like 60%

[threads]
computeColliders=8
skinmeshPart=8
skinmeshPartMaxPerChar=2
applyMorphs=8
applyMorphMaxPerChar=8
#affinity=1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15
affinity=1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15
engineAffinity=1,3

This is a must have!! Playing with my 3900x Ruzen 9, this has made a world of difference in performance. While it doesn't solve all my issues, I've been able to enjoy scenes at an acceptable frame rate thar contain 2 girls and a guy, or just 1 girl and a guy using naturalis. Really a must have!!

3700X. cpu benchmark - pre-patch avrage: 122fps @ 70% load, after-patch: 139fps @ 59% load. it won't eliminate the hard limitations, but it's excellent improvement
