Hi Guest!
Please be aware that we have released another critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.12 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.
Details about the security patch can be found here.
thanks for this guide. maybe you can also explain the render mode differences and how it works and the difference in light modes like "area"? I understand how point and spot works, but i not completly understand how the other lightforms works. thnx :)
Awesome guide! Do you do anything with scene lighting? I usually turn the global illumination down and use the unity ambient section to give more control over the base color/ambience of the scene
No. In most cases I turn off or adjust global illumination to zero. It generates interference with the main lights and often makes the character’s skin feel vague. But it sometimes help to replace the ambient light in the outdoor scene. (especially the number of the lights available is not enough.) But the cases are rare. :)
What a great guide. It was all good stuff, but I especially appreciated the arrows in the screenshots indicating each of the spotlight coverage areas being described.
