Scenes Amber is a gift

With this scene I did everything I wanted to contribute to the community.
  • A tablet in hand to control the scene without breaking the immersion of being in VR. Controls that improve the presence.
  • A watch with a button to call the tablet to your hand.
  • Action control buttons that work with different scenes whether the animation is baked into the scene, uses Timeline, or Animator.
  • Easy to use presets that you can pick in scene to have the best quality your performance level can afford.
  • A scene that is light and doesn’t take too long to load to demonstrate these features.
  • A larger scene where everything comes together, including more features from the community that fit well together, down to slap sounds and glances.
  • High quality skins and morphs that can be used with other scenes.
  • A simple scene to import any look into and apply those skins.
  • Good looking hair that doesn’t break when the performance is low. And looks right in photos, the edges don’t go into the body or the face.
  • High quality lighting rigs that can be used with other scenes.
  • A modular framework where you can improve pieces of it and it would improve all scenes using it. Like having a different subscene for GI, another one for FX, another one for the room. So that you can mix and match.
  • Asset and clothing presets that fit the lighting scheme. If the user has a brighter VR set and wants to lower the exposure, that should affect all the assets. If a custom unity asset doesn’t comply, Vamifier needs to be used. If the asset loses its shaders and doesn’t look good with Vamifier, it shouldn’t be used.
  • Tools to easily bring the lighting and assets to any scene.
There are great scenes out there, and more keeps on coming. It would be great to see them implement this stuff. And if they don’t, it’s easy to remix them with these.

I still have the physics plugin idea that’s in the description for this scene but I’m not qualified to get that done by myself. I’m not a coder, the best I can do is create an invisible box around the character, make it collision trigger the next setting. I can’t implement it as a plugin. So I’m hoping that someone else will do that.

At this point, real life responsibilities have caught up to me. And knowing that I can’t contribute much more than this, I’m going to have to take a break for a while.

I wish all a great year and happy times.
Cheers!
  • Package size reduced. Additional textures refer to the updated Epi.RenVR_RMX_Skins_and_Textures.
  • Dependencies updated with the latest available version of Timeline.
  • Small tweak to makeup (as an alternative).
