Use the Alpha Adjust to remove the piercing you don't want visible
?Custom Morphs/Poses may cause distorting?
"Customize" under "adjustments" try selecting "Wrap to Smoothed Vertices"
and/or adjusting the "Surface Offset" + "Thickness"
