VaM 1.x Most efficient way to delete files?

Go to the AddonPackagees folder and manually delete the scene. There's a plugin or a few that allows you to do it in VaM itself, but I can't remember the name of it.

what I do is go into scene browser find the scene I want to delete click the gear icon and remember the name of the creator, then go to package manager and scroll till I find the creator and scene and click delete, I do with this everything, I try to remember a few names at once so I can delete multiple scenes at once before I have to go back to scene browser. I dont delete clothes, only looks or scenes. And also clear your cache in game it is probably using 80gb or so mine always does.

Once you have deleted the things you don't need and you have just what you want to make scenes, a useful trick is to keep it clean and delete everything for the day after you are done. Say you are browsing through the hub and testing out new scenes. If you are unlikely to go back to them later, you can filter your AssetPackages folder by download date and delete everything from that session to keep your folder clean going forward.

I would never delete vars in game. I use a holding area folder outside the Vam folders. ID the scenes you don't want by whatever means, name, author, scene browser, whatever. Then use Windows Explorer to do the deletions. Select one scene you want to delete, then sort the files by date. Any file downloaded at the same time as the scene you want to delete is suspect, unless you decide to keep it. Drag all those files into the holding area. Then launch Vam and scan for missing packages. If anything pops up, drag it back from the holding area, or download it again. Once the missing packages scan is clean, then everything in the holding area can be finally deleted. Lather, rinse, repeat. Sometimes you just have to wade in there with the hip boots on and muck things out.
