Just used chagpts voice and it is super fluid with no long pauses like im experiencing in VAMX AI Chat, any suggestions or reasons why that is? Will we get ChatGPT level fluidity?

This is not the Help forum for ChatGPT or VAMX AI chat.

If you'd like to casually chat about AI models, you can do that in the Off-topic forum. If you want help with the mentioned, then VAMX has a help channel in Discord and I don't know about chatGPT

Don't get discouraged asking questions here due to comments like these:

Concerning your question:
Currently there are no better chatbots with tts engines integrated into VAM. At least I'm not aware of any.

The problem isn't the lack of good LLMs/TTS but optimization and the need for reasonable priced servers with suitable hardware that can respond/generate quickly. You have to remember that companies like openAI have a different access to relevant resources. No VAM creator/developer can match that right now.

Is there a problem with my reply?
For VAMX questions there's a pinned post about where to ask them, which I pasted its content. This is what the moderators indicate to do.
For ChatGPT or AI in general, things that are not VAM, the Off topic channel is the place to ask them.

Maybe? I don't know how they understood your reply.
Since it was their first Message ever, I just wanted to give some encouragement, in case they feel discouraged by your reply.

I at least understood the question as a general VAM related question that doesn't require any kind of (soft) rebuke. "Better voice models that aren't laggy?"

It was about vamX, and given that there's a pinned post telling where to ask VAMX questions it was in the wrong place. The pinned post can be missed, although I think people should pay attention first before writing things, but anyway...
So the second paragraph points the right places where the user can post the questions. Doing that will increase the chances of receiving useful replies for VAMX or to chat about ChatGPT or AI - good for the user - while keeping the forum channels tidier - good for everyone.
In the end it came out as a mix of "hey, pay attention" with "better to ask here about that to get a reply".
Alternatively I could just ignore it, but wouldn't that be worse?

Guess there is no real need to argue our different understanding of the question here.

For you it is about vamX and therefore the wrong forum, for me they are just asking for a VAM integrated voice model that is less laggy than vamX's.

Imo the worst thing that can happen is driving away new users / first time participants.

True, we have different perceptions and points of view, all fine in that.
