Yes I think you understood correctly. This tool allow you to create presets and only load the selected files in the preset. The other files are not visible until you launch another preset or the full VaM.

It should work for network drives (although the read speed across the network, and the latency, will of course surely be slower than a physical drive connected to your PC). What is most important is that the drive format is NTFS, to ensure that it supports symlinks. Message me if you want to...
