    Solved Find clothing

If you still have a look or scene that was referencing it, loading it should flag it as missing in an error message. The name of the item and creator will be saved in the .json for any scene containing it if you search for it.

VaM 1.x Clothing Textures not loading

In game, go to the "User Preferences" tab and check that "Shader Quality" is still set to High. If it's turned to medium, the clothing normal maps and decal textures don't get loaded. I've had this issue once before, but I have no idea why it happened.

VaM 1.x Resource gone without notice?

The hub banned Qos symbols last month, so creators took stuff down. Apparently there were qos and queen of hearts tattoos with vulgar writing which breached tos, so they banned both of the symbols rather than have to police it constantly...

VaM 1.x Moving already made accessories around?

Yeah, CUA is the name given to other 3d stuff you add, like props, accessories or environments. They are 3d models loaded from .assetbundles. They are often used for things like anime style hair, which can be parented to the persons head. It can be a little tricky to get them to track the model...

VaM 1.x Moving already made accessories around?

Like Hazmhox explained, most clothing in the clothing tab are wrapped to the model, so cannot be moved. However, some like this set from qdaro have an extra "plugins" tab, because they are actually a CUA (Custom Unity Asset) which the plugin is loading and attaching to the model. With these you...

VaM 1.x Detail Skin and Norm section...

8k is def overkill for a nipple as a skin texture. Certainly can't do that the way i was testing. The torso texture would need to be over 262144x262144 pixels. I'm a bit concerned my computer is going to spontaneously combust just by me thinking that number.

VaM 1.x Detail Skin and Norm section...

Sorry VIrtamater, I didn't mean decal maker itself does that. I made the higher detail decals and normal maps with image editing outside of vam, I was just using decal maker to overlay them on the skin shader.

VaM 1.x Monster Princess Do-S from One Punch Man

I did a semi realistic version of her some time ago, but got sidetracked trying to make a spiky collar that didn't work. I was also trying to make the leg and arm wraps with the oval holes work as a clothing item with skin compression. The one in the image are actually skin decals and normal...

VaM 1.x Detail Skin and Norm section...

Normal maps need to have the "basic" background colour to not interfere with the other normal layers. Here's a quick test I did with a riddler 4k skin on the base female. The second image has an edited 16k normal map and specular decal to match the texture. (still kind of basic as a first...

VaM 1.x Detail Skin and Norm section...

This doesn't help with the geometry, but I have been playing around with decal maker to test some things. When using a 4k texture, one nipple is only about 125 pixels square. I just did an experiment to see how big the texture files would be if I isolated just the nipples to upscale them to a...

    VaM 1.x convert DAZ3D clothing

I think the one you imported is missing the normal map and specular/gloss. It should have the exact same uv layout, so adding the existing maps in vam, or on the surfaces tab will make it look like the original.

    VaM 1.x convert DAZ3D clothing

You are using clothing for the wrong Genesis model, Genesis8 clothing needs to be adjusted to fit to the Daz Genesis2 model that vam uses and be in a t-pose position. The clothing importer in vam wraps the shape of the clothing to the nearest vertex on the model, so if it's not in the right...

    VaM 1.x Cua to cloth

My bad, I posted the wrong plugin, that should have been stoppers cua clothing plugin, not static clothing. If you use cua clothing, then you can have a blank clothing item with a plugin to add, attach and position the cua, which will automatically load it with the appearance preset. Qdaro has...
