Your Lucky Asteroids - I'm going to rock your world

This asset pack includes 9 particle flows of asteroids slowly drifting thru space. Some assets are arranged in flat planes, some in circular patterns. These assets generally need to be placed 50 to 100 units Z distance to be viewed correctly, as can be reviewed in the demo scene. Directional lights work well in illuminating the asteroids at any distance, but spotlights and point lights at close range can make for interesting scenes as well.

Hi. I purchased those assets on the Unity Asset Store, these are cockpits made by Vattalus Assets. I have bought almost all of their ships that work with Unity 2018 or below. These assets are pricy, but well worth it. I did tweak the materials to reduce shininess which I don't think works well in VR. I wish I could share the ships that I have made, which include particle effects, but I am unsure of licensing issues for a sandbox environment like VAM where we share things amongst numerous creators.

Farger updated Your Lucky Asteroids with a new update entry:

Added 7 new asteroid patterns; improved 4 previous asset releases

This update incorporates a new "Nice Asteroids" subfolder that includes:
- 20 meter asteroid cluster
- 80 and 300 meter asteroid rings/arcs
- Two variants of asteroid collisions
- Slight improvements to 4 previously released ice asteroid patterns.
-- The tube patterns expand out at a slightly faster rate so that the asteroids can fly around larger objects without colliding.

Improved immersion for asteroid ring patterns

In further testing of the ring and arc asteroid patterns, it became apparent that the refresh of the asteroid particles was creating, what I feel as, immersion breaking issues as asteroids transitioned in and out of the rotation pattern. This update is designed to address this issue by reducing the frequency of such transitions and reducing the speed as the asteroids come in and out of view, hopefully so that it is barely noticeable.
