The Scene Browser and The Template Browser
These two windows are very similar and are both covered here for convenience.
Scene Browser can be opened from the Start up Screen (Top Menu).
Or from the “All Scenes Browser” shortcut in the Base UI.
Template Browser can be opened from the Start up Screen (Top Menu).
Or from the “All Templates Browser” shortcut in the Base UI.
The Scene Browser
The Template Browser
The Scene Browser and the Template Browser scan your “Virt-a-Mate\Saves\scene”, and “Virt-a-Mate\AddonPackages” folder. Displaying all .json files that are available to load. The Scene browser will display all specified files flattened with no folders or sub folders displayed excluding any files marked as "Hidden". While the Template Browser will only display files marked as “Use As Template”. Please see File Options for more information on how to tag a file as a template or as "Hidden".
Please be aware this can take some time to load depending on how many scenes you have and the access speed of your hard drive.
You can sort the file order in several ways.
“A to Z” or “Z to A” display the files in Forward or Reverse alphabetical order.
“New to Old” or “Old to New” display the files in Forward or Reverse chronological order.
“Only Favorites” Displays files marked as “Favorite”. See File Options for details on tagging favorites.
“Show Hidden” Displays files marked as “Hide”. See File Options for details on tagging a file as "Hide".
Search for a file by name.
Page Navigation Options:
“Limit” uses a slider to set the amount of files displayed on each page from 18-1800 per page. Default is 450 per page for The Browser and 500 per page for Templates.
This displays the currently shown file number of the total amount of files available.
Takes you back to the first page.
Page backward
Page Forward
“Cancel” closes the browser and returns you to your currently open scene.
