I tested this out using an Index with SteamVR.

The cursor shows up VR, it never appears over any UI elements.

Additionally, I can't see the cursor at all unless I'm mirroring to the desktop. (Maybe that's intended?)

Neat idea for a plugin! I'd love to see it work properly.
