Hello Everyone,
We knew when posting our Piracy Policy and making clear our intentions to crack down that it would be a popular topic of discussion. However we did not intend for all of you to become fearful of sudden expulsion without warning from our community.
I personally want to assure everyone of you who is honestly creating looks and scenes to share with the community Free and Paid, you are not in danger of being expelled without warning. We understand that our whole licensing policy has not been in effect, or enforced, the entire lifetime of the Hub and know many legacy posts are in that grey area. It's expected that it will take time for you to adjust your old files to be compliant with the licensing rules. We are not torching people and files indiscriminately. We are dealing first with the people that are obviously taking advantage of our platform and the community.
We also are committed to treating everyone fairly. You may hear some people saying they were banned without warning or with no justification. That is simply not true. We internally document and check with each other to make sure that the moderator team is all on the same page with the actions taken. In most cases we reach out to the creator and ask them to correct the issues. It's only after multiple egregious infractions, deliberate skirting of our rules or simply an unwillingness to be cooperative that we take the step of banning someone. In cases where we may have jumped the gun we are also willing to rectify the situation..
With all that said. Please chill! Fix anything on your end you might be worried about or contact a moderator if you have questions. We will contact you and will work with you if we come across anything questionable. We want a healthy and thriving community. We are just cutting weeds, not burning the fields.
