You happen to have a guide you could point me to for packaging animations into assetbundles then loading into VAM? Do you script or animate it in Unity, then package the scene to an assetbundle like normal?
 
You can do it two ways
1. find items already animated and just add a animation controller in unity
2. Animate it in unity thru the animation tab.

The windmill already was animated so i just added a animation controller in unity and adjusted the speed.

If you have unity loaded and find the windmill on sketchfab I will do a quick tutorial for you.
