How to manage space in VAM going forward?

Most particle effects that use generic billboard texture render in Unity are rather small in size. I'm working new effects now, most are between 100 and 200kb each. It is 3d mesh that can really ramp up the filesize; for example, I used high resolution textures in the lucky asteroids asset...

What Quest 3 can do for VAM VR

Sounds like accelerated retirement is in order for me. Sorry, I am always quick to respond, but slow with a good answer. I would hope that this is the sort of issue that needs to get worked out as this headset and the software matures. It sounds like the shaders of the particle effects are...

    Changing Morphs in Timeline

I am by no means an expert in Timeline (nor a good instructor), but some creators have been asking how to change morphs with timelines. In the first graphic below, Timeline is opened up against a person atom. In the first graphic I have selected targets and "+." In the bottom right I have...

Backing up VaM: your strategy and tactics

I have about 3 or 4 versions of VAM over the years, separated into different folders and I have made backups on an external drive. I am close to filling up a 1TB hard drive, some of it is flight simulators, but most of it is VAM. 🤨

In your Opinion, what's the best NON-SEX scenes?

I've posted a number of scenes like this, they don't get many downloads, coz most seem to be looking for the boom boom scenes. :) An example is the Beam Me Up scene and other scenes that I have created.

    Changing Particle Effect Colors

Hi, I am sometimes asked about changing colors for particle effects. I wanted to point out that @hazmhox made a nice plugin for this exact purpose. In VAMStory by @hazmhox there is a tools folder and in that folder is a plugin called "vamsvfxeditor." When you load the CUA for the particle...

Are there any good scenes to just chill in VR?

The "2049" resource has a ship with more particle effects, especially for scene 2. Saiko is making a fuss in the passenger seat, but you could remove her if you want a quieter ride.

Are there any good scenes to just chill in VR?

They are not humping, they are "merging." Wink, wink. I have heard others who have modified it, it took all my time making the effects, I get too worn out to make animations, etc. Have fun.

Are there any good scenes to just chill in VR?

I will repost some over time, look for these. I will likely not leave it posted for long, I like to keep my number of post down to something manageable, especially since my posts are very niche and don't get a lot of downloads.

Are there any good scenes to just chill in VR?

I always thought it might be fun to make some particle effects for that environment.

Are there any good scenes to just chill in VR?

I posted some scenes like this, but these sort of scenes dont get lots of downloads so I took them down after a while. An example of what I still have posted is "2049."

    I miss Hent

There was a creator on the Hub whom I miss. This creator was known as Hent. I miss Hent because of the positive, encouraging messages that Hent would post, Hent put such a statement on my profile post. That post no longer exists, because Hent had issues with someone trying to hack into their...

    How do you use vam?

I like to use vam to recreate scenes in movies, or just things I have imagined. VAM is a powerful way to do this, but it is complicated to learn. I think the VAM community could go much farther if more creators were willing to work collaboratively versus alone. Most just want to do it alone...
