    tried messing around with all those settings, but no matter what it tanks fps to <10. I think whatever system newer hairs use just isn't compatible at all for silicon processors

    yeah I'm thinking CUAs are probably my best bet. I'm out of town and only have access to mac, when I'm back home this isn't an issue it's a miracle its even playable (except for the hair problem)

    So after some more testing, hair REALLY has an impact on performance, to the point where the only hairstyles I can use are the legacy ones. Any non-legacy hair I tried immedietly dropped my fps from ~50 to <7. scenes with postprocessing also bug out unless you immediately remove the plugin...

    same here on my m1 air, wondering if somethings changed with vam or crossover since the first post. first I thought it was the fact that i only have 8gb of ram, but surely vam would at least be able to run a basic character scene. even with all the settings on low/off, I can't get more than 7fps.

    Question Extremely high vertex count when importing hair from DAZ

    So I'm trying to import this G2 (originally G8) hair to VAM as a clothing item, problem is the vertex count is extremely high (over 80000!!), and appears semi-transparent. Can anything be done either in DAZ or VAM to fix this, and have it import fully rendered rather than looking like this...
