I had already been using the embody plugin, but your suggestion made me take a closer look at the documentation. By default the plugin simply improves the existing possession function. If you tick the "Select Passenger" option, the embodiment is locked to whatever angle the atom's head is...
If you are trying to build a scene for later redistribution with a video clip playing somewhere, it would probably also result in a smaller file size for the whole scene if you cut the video down to what is actually used in the scene.
Depending on what you are doing, advanced playback controls...
If the plugin doesn't have full video controls (such as skipping forwards or playing at a specific time) then you probably would have to take the video you want into some basic video editing software and crop it down. Reminds me of how we used to have windows movie maker - amateur but still...
I'm new to VAM and don't have any VR equipment yet, so I don't know if a VR headset would bypass any desktop mode limitations. I've noticed that you can continually move the camera left or right (unlimited yaw,) effectively spinning around as much as a real person would want to. I'm not sure how...
