I've got a pretty good 3D model of my own head that I want to make into a VaM character. Is there anybody who can Frankenstein a 3D head model onto a generic male VaM character for a reasonable price? Many, many thanks!

I've recently installed VaM On a new computer. I remember a character I had on my old computer, who was a young woman with light hair wearing a bulky tan space suit. I seem to remember that she was a video game character. Does this sound familiar to anybody? Thanks very much.

There are lots of glasses listed as clothing. Virt-a-Me has been wearing a pair for years on my other computer. These are just better suited to the character. So, assuming I want to settle for these as clothing, is there a way to convert the CUA?

Which is why I want to convert these to clothing items. I don't want to publish them -- that's up to their creators -- but for my own use.

I used the title of a previous thread, but I have a somewhat different intent, hence the "Electric Boogaloo" sequel identifier. I've found what I would generally think of as clothing items, which would serve perfectly for my personal avatar (rimless round eyeglasses and a round black...

Definitely interested!

I have a good model of an environment downloaded from Sketchfab. I'd like to make it into a VAM environment. Are there instructions available for me to achieve this? Many, many thanks!

Thanks!

Thirteenth Doctor TARDIS interior We've got a couple of nice models of the Thirteenth Doctor from Doctor Who, so it would be fantastic to have her TARDIS console room to hang around in.

So, I've had this work exactly once. Settings are correct. I can make my VAM hands disappear by turning them palm-up and bringing thumb and forefinger together, but I haven't had individual finger response except that one time.

So, I followed al the steps above, but don't seem to have individual finger tracking. Any idea where I should look? ETA: Seems to be working better, but has weird issue with hands "jumping" around as I try to gently move or rotate them. Still, it's pretty cool seeing the individual fingers of...

So I tried this, replacing the male look with my "me" character, which didn't seem like a problem, and the female with one of the latest versions of my movie-star crush... and she turned into a creature out of "Beetlejuice," with foot-long fingers and a weirdly distended jaw, with teeth sticking...

Is there an option/plugin to mirror (that is, "flip horizontal" a hair preset? Basically to make a style with a part match the real person's natural part?

Hi! I'm not your target audience, but there are a couple of male characters I'm pretty mystified aren't available -- or, if they are, I haven't found them -- even though the female "third point" in their triad is pretty ubiquitous, so I thought I'd drop a suggestion to you to see if you might...

Have you considered "Killi Tail V2," a free clothing item by, I believe, JoyBoy, available free here on the hub? It's not perfect -- the "leaf" at the end of the tail is double-sided -- but it's pretty good... And maybe JoyBoy can make a variant for you and Vecterror to use.

So there's a female character who's among the most popular characters here on VaM, played by an actress who is likewise... But the character is closely associated with two male characters, and neither of them is anywhere on VaM to be found. There are video games with pretty decent models of the...

How about Converse All-Star Chuck Taylor High-Top sneakers for men? There are a couple of good women's versions here, but apparently enabling them for male characters is complicated.

Using Hand Tracking for PCVR was an improvement Meta incorporated into the Quest 3. It's not something that the developers of VaM did. You'll notice that your hands in VaM can't interact with menus, and can't grasp, or squeeze objects unless you're using the controllers. The individual finger...

Now that the Meta Quest 3 is here, PCVR hand tracking is here, both with Airlink and Virtual Desktop. The good news is that, in VR, VaM does a very good job of matching the onscreen hands with our own hands, in terms of general positioning and orientation. But it has no idea about individual...

I just spent some time playing with VR on my brand new Quest 3. I find every looks a little brighter and crisper, but my favorite part is that Hand Tracking works wirelessly through Virtual Desktop. There's certainly room for improvement: while VaM knows you're using your hands instead of the...
