I ran across this before. Very strange behavior. What I did to get around was run the triggersync through a MacGruber Relay block with AcceptTrigger=0 when it enters the state then AcceptTrigger=1 just before actually triggering. Convoluted I know but it worked

The only one I know of is the Iris Placement L morph. If the eyes look crossed I'll set that to -1. Seems to do the trick.

It happens when I hit the Reset button and it tries to load the presets. Maybe you gave them custom names that didn't make it into the var or something like that. A good way to test your vars before submitting is to have a clean install of VaM (only the default packages and no custom anything)...
