    That is really strange... I can't reproduce this issue at all, so I can't troubleshoot it either. My current workaround is to package those textures into another .var file and then call them from there. Once again, I really appreciate the detailed answer!;)

    Some users reported that the UI buttons weren't displaying, so I changed how the UI textures are handled — I packaged them into a separate .var file to use as a dependency instead.
