I've found the issue — it was caused by having the "❤" symbol in the "Layer" and "Animation" names within the timeline plugin. Thanks!!!!!!!! -

That is really strange... I can't reproduce this issue at all, so I can't troubleshoot it either. My current workaround is to package those textures into another .var file and then call them from there. Once again, I really appreciate the detailed answer!;) -
