Hi! I tested my new Apple MacBook Air M1 just for fun. This is the slowest M1 Apple rig, 8GB unified ram and 256GB SSD, and one of the world's best selling laptop. OS: MacOS Ventura 13.2. I was surprised how well it performed with the 10 watts TDP cpu+gpu config without active cooler. The game...

    Hi Mates! I'm wondering what to expect from upgrade a 3080 to 4070 ti, 4080 or 4090 with meta quest 2. Tom's hardware says in 4k: GeForce RTX 4090 100.0% (116.0fps) GeForce RTX 4080 78.7% (91.2fps) GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 62.7% (72.8fps) GeForce RTX 3080 54.1% (62.8fps) Can't find...

The old ASUS ROG Mothership with 200 watt gpu tdp/rtx 2080 faster than the 175 watt gpu tdp/rtx 3080 laptops. The RTX 4080 laptop gpus will be powered with tdp 150 watt. In raw GPU performance the 4080 will be a step back. Maybe DLSS supported games will profit from the new platform, or the...

The 12 gen not K Intel CPU-s can be overcloked with a blck motherboard, and just get one class performce increase: 12300 OC = 12400 noOC 12400 OC = 12600K noOC 12700 OC = 12700K noOC It is possible to OC my CPU, but is it worth to buy high end mobo to OC a "not so mid class" CPU? My opinion...

12900k cheaper than the 5900x3d, the 12700 just fights in totally different weight class. It is a shame we compare amd high end cpu with intel mid class cpu expecting same performace. Please don't feel offended, just wanted to figure out the consequentis of test results, and just wanted to help...

Maybe they will be realesed at 2022 q4 but who knows the story of the double priced rtx cards and the mystical 12th gen cpus allways disappear before reaching the shops, or the horror priced ddr5 rams won't happen again? Don't feel offended, but I'm a little bit sceptical after the last two...

Just accept notebooks whoever has same peak power as the desktop configs, under continous load they sucks. I have an asus rog strix notebook and a macbook with earth shaking power, they are just so responsive you can't imagine. They load an app, before you hit the button. But when you start...

The ultimate solution to your needs is cloud gaming. Where I live, there is only 4g internet, and can't use it. It is extremly portable, extremly fast, and cheap as hell, but you need blazing fast internet. I'm courious how VAM runnig on that rig: https://shadow.tech/. I think this is the future...

Physics time is not pure CPU performance, but it is affected heavily by single core performance. In the comparison chart you can see how the two Core i7-8750H 6C performance affected by the gpu, or the ryzen 7 group performance how differs.

It is a 12700F :) The AMD results a little bit strange, because the intel cpu replaced a ryzen 5 2400g in my config, and my ryzen performed better in baseline, than the ryzen CPU-s in the chart.

Your results roughly 30% lower than mine. Your cpu 30%, gpu 25% slower. I think your results can be better with tweaking, but it won't give you significant boost.

Good news after this day, the forum alive... I got my 12700f and 12400f. Went with the 12700 way, but it faild to strat, giving memory error from the mobo. This time we won't see it, because today the webshop mailed me that they hadn't got the ordered 12400f. So I went with the 12700f, maybe tomorrow it will be there. It will be the slowest cpu speed 12700 config :D. I hope there won't be more problems with the shortages, because the war at our...

In theory the 12400f should perform as i9-11900k in VAM. I think the ram mobo and cooling are the limiting factors. An i9 setup usually comes with high end config, while the 12400f buyer is on tight budget.

The problem is the process adressing to e and p cores. It is very likely with alder lake cpu-s, a power hungry process adressed to an e core, which is not efficient. You can't realise it just sitting before the pc, the e cores can handle this, but loose performance. It means the i7 and i9 has...
