Guide: Creating, Saving, Exporting, and Importing Favorites Lists in VaM Produce 69 II
This guide explains how to create your own Favorites list, save it, back it up, and restore it when needed.
Step 1: Add a Track to Your Favorites
- Locate the Heart Icon
On the track selection screen, look at the top-left corner above the track title. You will see a small heart-shaped icon. - Click the Heart Icon
Click it to add the current track to your Favorites list. - Confirm the Favorite
When the icon changes into a red borderless heart, the track has been successfully added. - Note on Versions
If a track has multiple versions, only the version you are currently viewing will be saved to Favorites.
Step 2: Understand How to Save Favorites
There are two ways to save your Favorites list:
- Method 1: Save as Scene File
The simplest way is to save the entire scene as a local file. This keeps your Favorites but is tied to that particular scene version. - Method 2: Export/Import as Presets (Recommended)
Backing up Favorites as presets allows you to:- Restore your Favorites after updating the scene.
- Keep multiple different playlists and swap between them as needed.
Step 3A: Backup the Core_My Favorites Atom
- Open the Select menu to see all atoms in the scene.
- Find Core_My Favorites and open its control panel.
- Go to the Presets tab.
- Save it as a new preset. It is strongly recommended to add the suffix _Data (e.g., My Fav List 01_Data) to make it easy to identify.
- Click Create New Preset to finish.
Step 3B: Backup the UI_Playlist_My Favorites Atom
- In the same Select menu, locate UI_Playlist_My Favorites.
- Open its Presets tab.
- Save it as a new preset. This time, use the suffix _List (e.g., My Fav List 01_List).
- Click Create New Preset to confirm.
Step 4: Restore Your Favorites
When you need to restore your Favorites (after a scene update or when switching playlists):
- Select Core_My Favorites → open the Presets tab → load your _Data preset.
- Select UI_Playlist_My Favorites → open the Presets tab → load your _List preset.
- Once both are loaded, your Favorites will be fully restored.
Key Reminders
- Always backup your Favorites list before updating the main scene file, and restore them afterward.
- Use clear and distinct names for your two presets. A recommended convention is:
- My Fav 01_Data → for Core_My Favorites
- My Fav 01_List → for UI_Playlist_My Favorites
This ensures you can manage and restore your Favorites quickly and without confusion.
Guide: Creating and Using Custom Plugin Combinations in VaM Produce 69 II
This guide walks you through the process of creating your own custom plugin combination, saving it as a preset, and ensuring it automatically loads and persists across tracks in VaM Produce 69 II.
Step 1: Open the Control Panel and Access Plugins
- Select the Person Atom
Click on the character (Person atom) you want to configure. This opens the control panel for that character. - Navigate to the Plugins Tab
From the left-hand menu, select Plugins to view the plugin management panel. - Remove Preloaded Plugins
Clear all existing plugins by clicking Remove on each entry. This gives you a clean slate for your custom setup.
Step 2: Start Adding a New Plugin
- Confirm the Panel is Empty
After removing the preloaded entries, the plugin list should now be empty. - Click “Add Plugin”
Use the Add Plugin button at the top-left of the panel to begin adding your own plugins.
Step 3: Add and Configure Your Plugin
- Load the Plugin
Choose a plugin from your library (e.g., Everlaster’s Naturalis). - Adjust Settings
Enable the plugin, open its UI, and fine-tune the parameters to your liking. - Save as Preset
Switch to the Presets tab, give the setup a name (e.g., My Custom Plugin 1), and click Create New Preset. This saves your configuration for reuse.
Step 4: Access the Custom Plugin Atom and Open the Logic Plugin
- Open the Atom List
Go to the Select tab to see all atoms in the scene. - Locate “Custom Plugin”
Select the Custom Plugin atom and open its control panel. - Switch to Plugins Tab
Open the Plugins tab inside the Custom Plugin atom. - Open the Logic Plugin
Find the logic brick plugin (e.g., MacGruber’s StateMachine) and open its UI. - Enter Action Menu
In the StateMachine panel, click Actions OnEnterCustom Plugin to define what happens when the state is triggered.
Step 5: Load Your Saved Plugin Preset in Merge Mode
- Add a New Action
Inside the Actions OnEnterCustom Plugin menu, click Add Discrete Action. - Set the Receiver Atom
Configure the Receiver Atom as Person so the preset applies to your character. - Select MergeLoadPresetWithPath
From the action list, choose MergeLoadPresetWithPath to ensure the preset merges rather than overwrites. - Choose the Preset File
Click Choose File, then select the preset you saved earlier (e.g., My Custom Plugin 1.vap).

Step 6: Enable Merge Load Option in Gameplay Settings
- Open the Options Menu
Access the main Options panel in VaM Produce 69 II. - Go to the Gameplay Tab
Navigate to the Gameplay tab. - Enable Merge Load Your Own Plugins
Check the box next to Merge Load Your Own Plugins. This ensures your presets are loaded correctly in merge mode.
Step 7: Reload or Switch Tracks to Apply the Preset
- Reload the Current Track or Switch to Another Track to trigger the action.
- Verify the Setup by reopening the Person atom, where your custom plugin should now appear.
- Persistent Configuration
The custom plugin combination will stay active for the remainder of your gameplay session unless manually removed.

Special thanks to @MacGruber and his Logic Brick plugin, which makes this workflow possible.
