This resource is the 2021 Fortuner SUV.
The original model creator made this vehicle that is targeted for markets like Japan, where they drive on the left side of the road, that is why the steering wheel is on the opposite side than what many people may be used to.
This asset includes one version of the vehicle that is a single object, the prefab for the single object is simply titled "fortuner 2021." With version 2 of this VAR, there is now a script available to open the doors and liftgate for the integrated object. A special thanks to @VamTastic who adapted a script, originally created by @Frief for the black-van post, in order to open the doors for the Fortuner. It is also my understanding that @hazmhox also played a major role in this script. The doors can be opened via the interface for the plugin (see last image below). Other options would be to build sliders into the scene to interact with the plugin, as shown in the new demo scene 1, or to use other triggers via animation patterns or Timeline.
The core version of the prefab, labelled "fortuner 2021 core," removes the doors, liftgate and steering wheel so that these can then be added as independent objects that can be moved in your scenes. The plugin is not designed to work with this version. This is the original method to move the independent objects, which I will leave in place, otherwise it could break some people's scenes. To help make things easier for this option, this resource also includes a subscene with the objects preassigned to the core of the vehicle for this prefab. In the subscene, the rotation of the objects will be locked, except for the angle of rotation intended for that object. Some objects required me to add a pivot point for the object to rotate properly, please reference the subscene. In those instances, the atom marked "pivot" should be rotated to turn the object. To turn the entire vehicle in this configuration, the best method would be to rotate the subscene itself.
The first demo scene illustrates the vehicle as a single object, as well as the new plugin features to open the doors and the liftgate. The second demo scene illustrates the vehicle with the doors, liftgate and steering wheel as independent objects, and organized into a subscene.
