## Rigify VR+

### Acknowledgments

- Original Rigify plugin by Skynet
- This fork adds VR dual-controller manipulation, dual-handle cooperative control, hover-triggered rotation, and various improvements. The interaction logic has been completely redesigned for VR.

### Overview

Rigify is a VAM character posing plugin. The original was designed for desktop use: it generates interactive 3D nodes (arrows, capsules, torus shapes) on the character's body, letting you drag bone controllers directly in the scene.

This fork adds a VR dual-controller manipulation system. Every node can be grabbed with raycast + trigger in VR, and the plugin supports dual-controller cooperative control, hover-triggered rotation, and other advanced interactions — making VR posing feel as natural as grabbing a real object.

Important note: It is best to enable root control separation for characters using this plugin; otherwise, positional offset will occur after each movement

VR Controls

ActionEffect
Trigger grab any nodeDrag + rotate the node
Left trigger grab torso ringAuto-switches to full-body control, drag everything at once
Right trigger grab torso ring + press confirm (A/X)Same as above, combo to prevent accidental activation
Left grab a node + Right triggerRight controller rotates that node/joint independently
Right grab a node + Left triggerLeft controller rotates that node/joint independently
Right aim at a node (no grab) + Left triggerThe aimed joint rotates around its own axis
Left aim at a node (no grab) + Right triggerSame as above, symmetrical operation
Left grab a limb/hip + Right triggerAnchors that limb, the rest of the body moves with the right controller
Trigger grab an IK pole arrowRotate the controller to change IK pole direction
Enable “Lock Hand/Foot Position” then trigger grab hand/footThe node rotates in place without moving
Aim at a limb node + Left gripLocal sync: mirror the opposite side’s pose to this limb
Right grip + aim at a limb nodeAnchor flip: flip the whole body while keeping that limb fixed
Right trigger grab a node + Left confirm (A/X)Lock/unlock that node (locked nodes ignore interactions)
Both controllers aim at the same locked node + Left confirmUnlock that node

### Disclaimer

**Please read the following before use.**

**1. Device Compatibility**
The VR functionality of this plugin has only been tested on my personal setup: **Pico 4 + Virtual Desktop streaming**. I have no information on whether it works on other devices (Quest, Index, Vive, etc.) or streaming methods (wired, AirLink, ALVR, etc.). If you encounter any issues, please contact me and I will remove this resource from here.

**2. Desktop Mode**
This plugin does not guarantee any desktop-mode experience. I almost exclusively use VR for posing and have done very little desktop testing — the desktop experience is a downgrade compared to the original. If you need desktop use, **please download Skynet's original Rigify plugin.**

**3. IK Mode**
This plugin has **NOT been optimized or tested for Inverse Kinematics (IK) mode. Do NOT use the IK features.** I only use FK mode for posing. All optimizations target FK mode only. I do not guarantee any experience in IK mode or mixed IK/FK use.

**4. Multi-Person Scenes**
When multiple characters have this plugin loaded, raycast penetration between nodes cannot be avoided — a single ray can hit multiple characters' nodes, so pulling the trigger controls everyone at once. I have not found a solution for this yet. If anyone can advise or directly fix this issue, I would be very grateful.
