MetaChat is a VaM plugin aiming to provide features like VRChat in VaM.

MetaChat has lobby system to find people to play with each other in a room. Each player in the room can manipulate a person atom with real-time voice communication like VRChat. Users can directly use any scene in Hub to create a room.


















How to use:
Install this plugin and open the attached scene "MetaChatScene".
No need to download the exe!

Notice this black "MetaChat" button to toggle the panel.

MetaChat is in beta, so it might have small bugs. Please help find and report bugs in https://discord.gg/D6nfVVtjGz . Happy to know wanted features as well!
MetaChat doesn't plan to charge users for normal usages like VRChat.

Ive had the plugin for a while, but really joined the discord community in mid OCT 2022 and really hit it off with the great people there. I am now contributing guides and content to the project, and I cant wait to see new faces!

3 stars mainly for the biggest thing bothering me. Why the need for so much information from an average user? Name, discord name, date of birth, the discord bot apparently announces to the discord server someone might be online that "satisfies your preferences?" Seems rather excessive.

Fantastic job. This is 100000% more based than the shit show that is Metaverse. Do you plan to release server tool so that users can set up their own relay for lower latency?

Thanks for the review! I don't have plan to open source the code of server or client. MetaChat's connections are based on WebRTC which is peer-to-peer (won't go through MetaChat's servers) mostly, so setting up your own servers won't decrease the latency.

This is my favorite addon ever, seriously.

I've been using it for about two months now(?), and I've met some cool people, joined the discord, and have been using it daily as much as I can. If you are hesitant about this addon, don't be. It's still a work in progress, but the creator, MetaChat, is constantly updating and listening to their users (via the discord server!) and improving it as much as possible. You can get into some very lewd and delicious fun with other users, and boy, who doesn't love getting frisky with others?! Absolutely recommend this to everyone who stumbles by it! Give it a shot, you won't regret it!

And who knows, maybe I'll see you there! ;)
