This guide is only intended for people with poor VaM performance. They want to record something like a trailer, but the best solution is to upgrade your hardware.
First you need to download some programs.
-OBS: https://obsproject.com/
-MSI AfterBurner: https://www.msi.com/Landing/afterburner/graphics-cards
I made a video where I explain my process step by step.
-In the RivaTuner activate the option "On-screen display support" and make sure that it is working in VaM (you see an interface where it shows you the fps).
I recommend animating with the options "very low" and "soft body physics"
-When you have everything ready disable "On-screen display support" change the graphic settings to "Ultra"
-Setting to "Record" in OBS and in the RivaTuner changes the "Framerate Limit" to 1.
Open VaM and stay there recording everything, that takes a long time.
Remember to press "U" and then "F1" on the keyboard to remove the interface.
-When your recording is ready, go to RivaTuner and change the "Framerate Limit" to 0.
-Stop the recording in OBS.
And that's it. Remember that to record a video of 1 sec at 60 FPs you need 1 min of recording at 1FPS.
That means, if you want a shot to last 20 seconds, you would need 20 minutes of recording at 1FPS!!
My PC is very bad, I have made this little trailer that way.
I know, it's not very good but with editing it looks a bit nice.
PRO:
-If your performance in VaM is very bad and you want to record something, you can do it.
CONTRA:
-Long recording time.
-Static camera.
-No sound, unless you add it later in the edit.
My PC:
-CPU: Intel i5 3470
-RAM: 10GB DDR3
-GPU: Nvidia GT 1030 OC
