The story of "Romeo and Juliet" (with a 1990's twist).
The song was originally from the closing credits of the 1996 retelling of Romeo and Juliet. I haven't seen the movie, but "Exit Music" is definitely more enduring than the movie that spawned it.
It starts pretty slowly, but, I always thought that the way the song builds to a climax would be perfect for a VaM sex scene. I felt my 1st attempt for the scene last year didn't do it justice so I decided to apply everything I'd learned since then to a remake. Menu options, custom look, lighting, weather, and animation are all redone.
There's even a 2nd music option: I stumbled across a faster tempo cover by The Marias and wondered how it would sync with the existing animation. When I brought the 2 songs into Audacity, they aligned perfectly if I increased the tempo a little. So, I compressed the animation to fit the faster tempo and success!
IMO, it doesn't work nearly as well for VaM as the original version because the singer's intensity doesn't really change throughout and the song doesn't really build to the same climax. But, it was an interesting experiment that I thought I'd keep in the final scene. Feedback is appreciated, so let me know which you like better.
