Guides ESTIM + VAM

If you have not considered applying electricity to your genitals, now is your opportunity!
People have been doing it in a safe and fun manner since the time of the ancient Egyptians, as evidenced by these totally genuine hieroglyphics.

But unlike the pharaohs of old, now we have VAM!
Imagine putting on your VR headset, watching your favorite waifu (or husbando or furry friend, we don't judge) perform an act on you, and feeling it with your NERVES and moving almost exactly in time with whatever they're doing down there!
If you happen to be the lucky owner of a DG-LAB COYOTE 3.0, an E-STIM SYSTEMS 2B, a STIMKIT 1 "Tingler", Mk312, or any other stereosim device that can take audio and turn it into TRI-PHASE electric pulses straight to your nethers, this little guide is for you.

DISCLAIMER: if YOU toast your sausage or Edison your beaver it's not MY fault.
Follow all the best practices of e-stim and the instructions of your particular device. if you don't know about them, go do some research and then come back when you're ready

Right....

You're going to need 2 programs and one VaM plugin.

1. RESTIM by Diglett48 - this program generates the e-stim signal for your device. It can be used by itself for all kinds of fun but we're interested it it's capability to receive and translate positional data in real time from an outside stream, namely:...

2. ToySerialController by Yoooi - This is a person plugin that is typically used for controlling motorized devices like the OSR. There are other serial controller plugins available. I haven't tested them, but this one works for me. Speaking of "serial", that often means there's a cable connected from a "serial port" on your pc the input on your device. But we need to plug VaM into Restim. How do we do that? By tricking both programs into thinking they're plugged in to eachother with virtual serial ports!

3. COM0COM by vfrolov - is a program that creates 2 virtual serial ports as soon as you run it once on your windows machine. You shouldn't need to run it again after that.

***** Setup *****

First, run COM0COM. You'll get a screen like this.

COM0COM.jpg

Pay attention to the two Virtual Ports that have been created. Mine are called COM6 and COM8. Yours might be different. We will use them both shortly.
For now you are done with COM0COM. Just running it once installs these ports on your PC and they should stay there until you uninstall COM0COM, so you shouldn't need to run this next time.

NEXT Run Restim.
You'll get a terminal window pop up that relays some useful info, and then the main program window:

There's A LOT you can experiment with here, but first we will prepare it to receive instructions through it's own virtual com port and get it ready to output audio to your device.
Click on Tools > Preferences

In this Network Tab, check Serial port and uncheck everything else.
In the COM port field, put one of the two virtual com ports that COM0COM made. This will be the port that Restim will be listening through.
Click the Audio tab. I'll leave it up to you to connect your device to your PC, but this is where you select the audio output.
If your device connects through Bluetooth, you may have to pair it to your computer first and restart Restim for it to show up here.

Back on the main page, I found that i need to go into the Volume tab and set the volume to 100%. If you leave it at the default 10% then when you have your device turned up to 100% power you'll only actually get 10% (I think)
... because in the end, you will probably be wanting to control the power of your device on the device itself, not here. And you always start with the power at zero anyhow, right???

Also you can try adjusting the frequency in the "Carrier settings" tab. What feels best here is going to be extremely depending on you and your equipment.
Things may feel too harsh if you go in either direction too far, or the signal may fade out entirely. Also play around with the setting in the vibration tab, once you finish setting everything up and are testing out how it feels.
Your Restim should be waiting to receive instructions on its COM port now! Once you click the Start button in the lower left it will start playing the audio signal to your device.
But don't do that yet, we still have to set up our plugin in VaM.

Open up your favorite scene that includes some sexy fun times™
Add the ToySerialController plugin to your person who's going to be doing the "receiving."
Once you've done that, open it's custom ui menu.
(if these options aren't available to you, you probably need to upgrade to creator mode. Get your ass to Meshed's Patreon and toss him 8 US dollars... you cheapskate)

You want to set your "Select Output Target" to Serial and your COM port is the OTHER COM port that you did not use in Restim.
DON'T CLICK "Start Serial" until everything else here is set up, AND ESPECIALLY if you don't have Restim also running and receiving on it's on COM port. If you do start serial, and Restim is not running or receiving correctly, you'll likely crash VaM.
Back to the Toy Serial Controller plugin menu... The "motion source" and Targets are self explanatory.
But in the right column, under "Main", all of those things from "Up/Down | L0" to "Lube | A2" are streams of data that the plugin can send out. By default it IS sending all that stuff but we're only interested in "Up/Down | L0"
We have to turn off the rest.

1750301401701.png

Click on "Forward/Backward | L1 " to open it's dropdown menu and make sure Enable Override is checked and the Override Value slider is set to zero.
Do the same with the rest of them... and after that it might be a good idea to click Save Config so you don't have to do this every time. Better yet, click "As Default" so it uses these settings automatically next time!

Now open "Up/Down | L0"
This is where you're going to be doing a lot of adjusting. If you've got some action happening in VaM, Restim ready to receive and open in another window, now it's safe to click "Start Serial" in the plugin.
And click Start in Restim.
At this point in the Restim window, hopefully you see the little green dot in the center of the circle & triangle moving around.

1750374266340.png

The up & down motion makes the signal go from something like mono to a wide stereo, and that translates to a feeling of movement.

You can also try ticking the "Adjust Limits" box and in the dropdown select "Map to Edge"
This will make the signal translate from left to right and back, which, depending on your particular electrode setup could feel even more like up and down or in & out.
DO adjust the Arc start & Arc length to your liking.

1750374781235.png

And do experiment with the other settings.

The dot will only move if your person atoms are making a proper connection in vam and they are moving!
But if your dot is stuck to one side or not moving very much you will have to go into the plugin and adjust the range & limits. of your "Up/Down | L0" channel.

1750375564901.png

You probably want to leave the Output Max and Min at 100% and 0% respectively.
But adjusting the Range Max & Min is how you get that beautiful green dot to move back and forth the whole way across the circle in Restim.
Unfortunately you may have to adjust the Range Max & Min with every scene and every pose. Pain in the ass, I know.
But this is something scene developers could script into their scenes when creating them!

Anyhow if you've made it this far and everything is connected and working, it's time to strap in, turn up those dials, and turn off your brain!
Make sure you play around with all the dials and sliders and settings to get a feel for how things work.
After all it's only electricity. What's the worst that could happen?

Good luck, have fun, and be safe!

Thanks for reading my guide and if this helped you spurt a big ropey load in a new and exciting way... or at least entertained you, consider showing your appreciation with a tippy tip on my patreon!
I've got other good things in the works if you decide to stay. <3

Hero. I was recently looking in to how to set up my Coyote 3.0 with VAM but it seemed too daunting. This guide appears to be very straight forward and I’ll need to give it a try when I get time. Thanks!
