What is this
Creates a mirrored version of the selected hairstyle. Physics, colors, and materials remain unchanged—the hairstyle itself is flipped as accurately as possible. The mirrored hair can be saved to its original directory or to a specified directory.
In theory, all hair—including body hair—can be mirrored.

- Supports SIM hair
- Preview images are mirrored as well（one less thing to do manually）
- English, Japanese, and Chinese UI support （my English isn’t good）
- Saved hair is automatically given the suffix Mirror by default, making it easy to distinguish from the original
- Can save to:
- The hair’s source directory
- A specified directory
- A Mirror subfolder created inside the source directory
- Supports batch saving （allowing you to mirror an entire preset at once）
- When batch-saving hair from different directories, the plugin will display a warning. By default, each hairstyle is saved to its original directory, but you can also choose to save everything to a single specified directory
- Mirrored hair is worn automatically. You can also check the option to keep wearing the original.
Limitations
- Only works with regular hair （ not CUA hair）
- Cannot write files back into .var packages. The results will always be saved to the corresponding package path on disk under Custom/Hair...
- If a hairstyle uses a custom scalp material, the plugin will display a warning and highlight the affected hairstyle in the list. After saving the mirrored hair, you will need to manually assign the material path again
- Hairstyles without hair roots（such as bald hairstyles）,will not be exported. (Come on, there’s really no point mirroring a bald head, right?)
- Due to limitations in VaM’s underlying functionality, hair curls are clockwise by default. After mirroring, the plugin cannot force them to rotate counterclockwise relative to the original. As a result, some SIM hairstyles may not be perfectly mirrored, depending on their curl direction
- Most hairs mirror cleanly, but a few unusual styles may not look right. Wear the mirrored hair, then try Open In Creator → Generate & Style → Rebuild Style Joints, or fine-tune Physics and Look. It should alleviate the problem.
How to use
- Add HairMirror.cs to a Person atom.
- Refresh the list. The plugin will scan the hair currently being worn.
- Select individual hairstyles or use batch selection, then choose your preferred saving method.
- After you click Save, wait until the plugin finishes. Please do not do other things in the meantime. Use the new hair only after you see the done message.
