This resource includes low poly balloons rendered as particle effects. 19 prefabs are combined within one asset bundle.
Having less vertices for the balloons sacrifices the look of a smooth surface; but more importantly, this will result in better performance even with a large number of balloons.
I have rendered the balloons as emissive as this makes for a brighter, more festive effect. The balloons will cast shadows.
The balloons will collide with anything in the scene that includes colliders, to include native VAM objects (lights, camera, etc.).
Balloons in the same prefab can collide with each other, but not from one CUA prefab to the other.
Various colors and behaviors have been included, the following labels help identify the behaviors for the prefab:
Prefabs with "drop and pop" in the name will drop balloons from 11 meters above and then pop around the time the balloons reach ground level.
Prefabs with "floating" in the name will generate balloons in a cluster in which the balloons slowly float and drift, this effect resets every 200 seconds, otherwise the balloons may drift large distances over time.
Prefabs with "rising" in the name generate balloons that slowly rise and generate a string effect. These balloons will eventually shrink and disappear in the distance.
Prefabs with "customizable" in the name can have the balloon color changed by using plug-ins, such as the VFXEditor by @hazmhox.
Prefabs with "burst release" in the name release a number of balloons all at one time. This animation can be reset and replayed by turning the CUA off and on again.
Prefabs with "motion activated" in the name require the CUA to be moved in order to generate balloons (see the red balloons generated by an animation pattern on the left side of the demo scene).
Many thanks to @mspeck01 for sound resources utilized in the demo scene. The demo scene is intended as a simple and fun way to show many of the balloon options available.
If there is interest in more options, please let me know in the discussion area.
