Align (a plugin)
Align positions/rotates an atom along the vector between two atoms (or the player), allowing for powerful alignment effects.
Demo 1: simple alignment between 2 objects
Demo 2: floating rimlight, always behind the object from the player POV.
Demo 3: Combine with Sensor for drag and drop resizing/rotation/position!
Demo4: Dramatic follow lighting with only 2 lights (ultra-performance!)
Why?
It's a pain trying to align, say, an info panel or button onto a particular scene surface. Additionally, trying to get a rim light to follow a model and always light from behind is a bit of a pain. Now it's a piece of cake!
Instructions
Add Align plugin to any object you want to position/rotate.
Open plugin UI (instructions are within).
Profit.
Usage Ideas
- Align captions above/below objects, while always facing the player (or WindowCamera).
- Add rim lights or other lights that always hit an object/model based on your own point of view.
- Create cool text effects.
- Make more interactive games or help panels.
I would also like to credit myself for extreme patience while working with GPT through this challenge. *bows*
