As I am sweating during the summer heat, I wanted a vacation cottage with a winter theme in order to trick myself into thinking that I am not too warm. This resource models the interior and exterior of a vacation cottage. The first floor has a kitchen area, dining area, bathroom, living room, and staircase. Upstairs there is a loft area and three bedrooms. There are two versions of the cottage, one that is labelled "closed" in which the doors cannot be moved. In the cottage named "open" the doors are removed so that the doors can then be added separately and adjusted in scenes. The cottage is empty of furnishings so that creators can easily add furnishings of their choosing. Bathroom equipment is provided to help get started. A separate assetbundle for furniture and appliances (20 new assets) is now provided in this resource.
The original demonstration scene "Cottage 2" illustrates an example of having all of the doors locked in place so that the doors can only be pivoted in the Y-axis. Thereby using the grab, or animation functions, the doors can be made to swivel opened or closed. The newest demo scene "Cottage Furnished" expands upon the original scene and provides a showcase of the furniture, appliances and countertops that can now be added to scenes.
This cottage has a winter theme which means that there is baked in snow textures on some of the external areas of the cottage. I have also included customized snowfall effects. Future plans for this resource include a summertime version (when I am too cold in the wintertime).
