Saiko's Studio Apartment

Environments Saiko's Studio Apartment

This asset includes a small studio apartment with living room, kitchen and bedroom. I have also included some special lighting as separate assets. This lighting is included in the demo scene. The lighting can be turned on and off with various switches that I have installed in the scene. This lighting uses a "cookie" filtering effect that looks nice, but it can have a negative impact on framerates. In testing, I turned all the lights on and added a person, and the framerates dropped to 15 FPS on my system. I recommend just turning on one room at a time with these effects or consider using your own alternative lighting choices. The studio apartment does not have baked-in lighting, so it is easy to modify the lighting to your needs.

Nice, like the lightning, great idea. Might play around with collision triggers for them, see how that works out.

Thank you for the review. Yes, having large trigger spheres could be a nice option as well.

Did a brilliant job mate, love how you did the switches for the lights .
makes more sense ,as no one has all lights on in every room.
goes to show, you don't have to always go through ages of baking lights
to get a good look.

Thank you for the nice review. It seems to work out well with the lights on real time mode and having a cookie texture mask to cause the patterns in the lighting. I would imagine that real time has a more negative impact on framerates, but I am not sure. It seems to make things very straightforward, because there is just one rendering of the apartment without any lighting, except for that darn kitchen clock that keeps blinking after the power goes out.

Thank you, I worked on the materials and the specialized lighting to have that effect. The lighting effects that I included can be bad on framerates, but I have tried other lighting options and it seems to work out well. I am glad that you like it.
