it is correct. The packed addon file will be generated in the <YourVam2Folder>/Addons/<creator>__<addonname>__1.0.v2a, and when you run VAM2 it will automatically extract the .v2a file (it's a zip file) to /Addons/<creator>/<addonname>/1.0/.

If yes, you need to click on the folder icon on the Addon Path to point to the addon you want to create a blendshape pack to. But the wiki covers all steps for that. Unless you are trying to achieve something different.
