Dear community, it is time for me to move on and say goodbye.

Two reasons:

First, I lost the interest in this project, really tried to get it back with some pause, but I did not fire up VAM /VR for months now.

I felt really bad about not providing something to my Patrons and thus, created a lot of personal pressure to myself, because they kindly supported me and payed their pledges, but did not get something back. Therefore I paused payments of my patrons already since last November and continue to do so for March.
Moreover, I am considering to take my Patreon page offline completely, so I shifted most of the Patreon-only content the the Hub today.

Second, my wife and me got a new family member which occupies MUCH time and I will fully focus to the little one for the upcoming months. Not saying I will not come back, maybe when VAM 2.0 is life, but for now I take a looong break.

So farewell, it was an exiting travel the last almost three years since beginning of 2018!

JLFN! Huge congrats on the new family member!

You have been and will continue to be very missed! Thank you for all that you have done for VaM over the years. In the early days you were pushing the limits of what could be done and drove me to implement things like triggers just so I could see what you could do with them! It was extremely fun and rewarding watching you create some really amazing and cool scenes. Your tutorials are unmatched and are of great aid to many lost VaM users. I continue to send users to your new-user tutorial and the packaging tutorial videos in particular. I made VaM too complex and hard-to-use, but your tutorials smoothed over the rough edges I created. I know these videos were a ton of work to create and didn't come with a lot of personal reward for you. I am forever thankful for you contributions.

Best of luck on the next phase of your life. Please do check back in as 2.X matures.

Jason! I second Meshed. It was a pleasure knowing you and speaking to you for years. Your arc of contributions to VaM is priceless, and I also direct every user to your videos. Congratulations on your bigger family, and I wish you the very best in your personal life. I hope you do check back when 2.X arrives. You are an awesome human being and deserve the very best - it was a gift interacting with you for as long as I did. Take care!

@JustLookingForNothin hey, hats off for all your contributions to make VaM what it is today. You've been a pillar to this community and your legacy will remain in your absence! Best wishes to you and your family, and I empathize with your decision! (I actually made a similar one but I clearly failed walking away lol).

I am calling you an early-days VaM comrad! Wish you all the best for the real life.

Best of luck JLFN ! Thanks for all of your contributions in building up this community. Hope we will see you again sometime.

Wishing you health and happiness with your new family member. Thank you also for all the helpful guidance you've provided to the community. Take care. ❤

Sad to see you go JLFN. Your tutorials helped me out so much at the beginning! Hope you'll come back for 2.0. All the best!

Sad to see you go. Your guides helped me so much when I was despairing over VaM's steep learning curve. Thanks for everything you did for the community!

Been around since mid 2019...I want to say it was 1.12-ish. I would have been totally lost without those tutorials. I hope even new members watch them, because they are gold.

I cant predict the future, but I think you'll be back...this software constantly pushes the boundaries of what's possible in VR. I wish you well, my friend.

ay man its all good , congrats on turning from justlookingfornothing into justfoundsomething , (aka congrats on the family) hope to see more from you in the future

Congratulations on your new family member! I firmly believe that if it weren't for your tutorials I probably wouldn't have given VaM a second look. The first time I opened it on my PC, I was absolutely confounded. Like, what is this sorcery that I've just stumbled upon, and how in the hell do I get this VaM doll to something? Can I poke her with something? Can I take her clothes off? So many questions... I literally watched every single one of your videos multiple times while walking on the treadmill at the gym back in 2019 or whenever it was - seems like a lifetime ago. Your videos gave me so much inspiration and helped me truly imagine the potential in what we have in this amazing sandbox of possibilities called Virt-a-Mate. So THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart - you've made more of an impact than I think you'll ever know for this great community of explorers, tinkerers, and mad scientists!
