Anyone using HDD for VaM?
Well, those of you with multi-terabytes of VAM need to clean your rooms. There's less than 1TB of quality stuff out there IMHO. If you want to maintain a museum, do it on HDD. Personally I run VAM completely on HDD because I'm using my NVME SSD for AI models that truly benefit from the... -

I'm pretty certain that Meshed already stated that the problem isn't with VARs in general, but the way that morphs are cached. If you have 5k in your VAR library, it attemps to cache all of the morphs, eats up RAM, and overall slows down VAM. (Or something to that nature or effect). My...- Fferrett

Yes, its really the only solution that doesn't limit your options within a session. Everything else including Feelfar's Var Manager ( GitHub - feelfar/varManager: varManager )requires offline management of vars outside of VAM -

To each their own. Perhaps your experience with an initial version isn't the same as I experience with a current version. It does work and does solve many of the issues that VAR's internal tools lack. -

I've not run into this, but I'd either directly edit the json or repackage with relative references. Perhaps a more seasoned VAM SME can assist. because of this, you are the only one seeing your quality of result.
