Severe Weather in VAM

A couple of years ago I made a particle effect for a tornado that slowly moves across the horizon as it sucks up dirt in a field. It was never full in size as I wanted, but this effect can max out at 17,000 particles, and particle effects of that scale take a toll on frame rates.
