hey man, no, this is just a collection of addonpackages, configuration files, clothing, hair, scripts. it's just that in the past a handful of users had some weird issue with my lipsync plugin specifically colliding with another already installed plugin. this caused an issue where neither lipsync player worked right until one or the other was deleted. I doubt we'll see this happen again, i think it had something to do with how plugins were named and how my original code was based on adamant's plugin. They've since been separated entirely so almost certainly no issues, just mentioning that as a handful had that issue way in the past.

But why does the "AddonPackages" directory contain subdirectories ("fawakens specific" and "VH34Universal")? That seems unusual. Are we supposed to move their contents to AddonPackages directly?

so, please ignore any directory structure in addonpackages, just copy as-is. meshedvr is smart enough to scan recursively.
 
I downloaded this scene from your Patreon, but it doesn't show in my Scene Browser, or am I missing what name it should be or something?

Thanks for the quick reply. But isn't it kind of a bad idea to have directories in AddonPackages? We risk ending up with useless duplicates.
Will your scene scene still find them if I flatten everything?

Great idea, great voice acting, veeeeeery slow progress (ok, you copied the hj animations from FA). I really think, the FA scene and this one have the potential to be among the greatest scenes in the paid cathegory. And hopefully the GoT Scene will be too. When it come to creative ideas & fantasies, you are at the top of the foodchain. But when do you plan to finish them?

Yeah, I'm moving toward a universal scene or multiverse where you can do 80% of things with all characters. so in the future I won't have to build out 100% unique resources for every scene, they will all be variations on the same core.

so that speeds up development in the future, cause I will simply have to record a small amount of unique content/animations/clothing/lines per character and they share the same core system if that makes sense.

At the end of the day this is a hobby for me and takes a backseat to my day job, but if I can 10x my subscribers I could quit my day job. So maybe someday.

a few reasons:

1) due to the appearance preset overriding, it's easier if i create the folder directory structure for the user, doesn't work with a var
2) var compression VASTLY increases load times for scenes with hundreds of audio files. FA has 600 or so and it's a nightmare
3) project isn't final yet, easier for me to publish more frequent updates until 1.0, at that time MOST of it will be in a var.

Ok. So had this issue with another big scene once before, but once the scene is finally loaded, the main female character is frozen in the starting position.
Sound plays, the male moves around, but the female skin remains locked in place. If I check the "debug joints" box, it's clear that the animation is playing, but the skin of the character is left behind.

I've got a ton of odd errors.
Notably these two :

I'm going to attempt to clean up my scripts folder.
No idea what's causing embody to fail, it's red in the scene plugins tab and reloading manually is unsuccessful.

Removed embody from the scene
Disabled glance, and improved POV
Saved scene, loaded scene, character is moving
🤷‍♂️
